We survived Hurricane Milton
In case anyone is interested…we DID survive Hurricane Milton here in Tampa, even though we came very close to being flooded, and we were without power for over 6 days. We were very lucky to have escaped the damage that affected so many other people.
Out of the hundreds of people that I know, only 5 people reached out to me via text, to ask if we were safe during the storm (including only one sibling, and one cousin.) And absolutely no one has reached out after the storm, to see how we fared.
You gotta love that when we have so many options and avenues for Social Media, and we can keep in touch with people that we’ve known, all thru our lives, that so many people just don’t give a shit about what is going on in other people’s lives. Everyone is going to suffer thru something, at some point, so if you want someone to care about your problems, or to share in your victories, make sure you spend a little time to reach out, and show that you care about their problems too.
