I walked into my Gym tonight and a song/Music Video being played through the Club’s system caught my attention. I couldn’t see who it was at first, and I asked if it was a video by Colton Dixon, from this past season of American Idol, because I saw blonde streaks in the lead singer’s dark hair.
Much to my surprise, it turned out to be a video by James Durbin, who has the best Hard Rock voice to ever hit American Idol! James was a contestant on Season 10 of Idol, and Steven Tyler had a bet going with him, that if James were to win Idol, Steven would sing with him in the finale.
Unfortunately James didn’t win that Season, but that doesn’t seem to have hampered his career.
This is an awesome Rock song, and since James is very young, I look forward to hearing much more music from him in the coming years.

I just remembered the funniest conversation that Steven Tyler had with James Durbin during American Idol…You could tell that Steven was one of James’ idols (no pun intended) because James channeled Steven in his wardrobe choices…so much so, that one time after James had performed, Steven said something like the following: “Hey James. Nice outfit. You must be shopping at the same stores I am.” James thanked him for the compliment and then Steven said: “I bet you’re finding out that it costs a lot of money to look this cheap!”
